Ecumenical Vacation Bible School
This year's Ecumenical Vacation Bible School in Ticonderoga will be held at the First United Methodist Church on Wicker Street, August 17-21 from 6-8PM. Children ages 4 through 6th grade in ALL surrounding communities are welcome. No tuition.


Warren County Council Senior Picnic
The Warren County Office for the Aging and the Warren County Council of Senior Citizens announce that the annual picnic at Battlefield Park in Lake George will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 9 with a rain date of Sept. 10. The menu will be grilled chicken, rolls, corn on the cob and watermelon. The price per person is $3, but no one will be denied a meal if unable to pay. Music will be furnished by disc jockey Andy Pratt of Bolton Landing. All Warren County Senior Citizens are invited to attend. Hague Seniors are urged to register for this by August 25. Hague Senior Citizens Club
The Hague Senior Citizens Club will hold its annual picnic at the Hague Fish and Game Club on Aug. 25 at 12 noon. Bring a dish to share. Hamburgers and hot dogs will be served, as well as beverages. Register for this event by calling 543-6161 BEFORE August 19. . . ewa

Chamber Music at Grace Chapel
The final concert of the season at Grace Chapel will be held on Monday, Aug. 3, featuring the Modern Brass Quintet. Freewill donations to help defray the costs of the concerts will be taken at the door. (Suggested donation: $5.)

These concerts are made possible in part with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts and Warren County, NY, under the aegis of the Warren County Arts Initiative Program, as well as private contributions.

1988 Adirondack Waterfest
Explore Lake Adirondack and the Town of Indian Lake on Friday, July 31st during the Adirondack Waterfest. Seagle Colony
Madame Butterfly, the forever popular opera by Giacomo Puccini, will be presented in English on July 22, 24 and 25 at the Seagle Music Colony in Schroon Lake.

A final highlight of the season will be the lighthearted, romantic and melodious operetta, The Merry Widow, by Franz Lehar on August 5-8.


Antique Show Vendors Sought
Vendors are being sought for the first annual Hague Antique Show to be held Saturday, Sept. 26, at the Hague Community Center. The event is sponsored by the Hague-on-Lake George Chamber of Commerce. Contract deadline for participation is August 10. Inquiries should be made to Mitzi Fillare at (518) 543-6344.

The Island View Cafe is officially open - featuring delicious homemade hard and soft ice cream, along with hamburgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, salads and snacks.
