Dave LeMay

Smoothing the raw edges and giving Wicked Blue its melody anchor is bassist Dave Lemay.

Hailing from Amesbury MA, Dave cut his musical teeth on mainly Rock projects like Thrust, Rubben Currency, Sage and one of Southern New Hampshire premiere club acts, Baker Street Blues, before connecting with Rick Carroll in the fall of 1993 on the creation of Automatic Slim. Three years later, they teamed up and blended their desparate styles once again to birth the eclectic dichotomy that is Wicked Blue.

Dave's intelligent, precise style is a natural balance to Rick's over-the-top viscerally explosive manner. His complex bass structures give the subtle textures and shadings needed to correctly deliver this music in a difficult trio format. This is not mere bass playing--its textural landscaping at its best.

Through building the solid, yet continuously evolving platform necessary in the Blues exploration for which Rick Carroll & Wicked Blue are gaining wide notaritity, Dave is building a solid reputation as an innovator and true artist.
