Deb Blackadar Wicked Blue's

Deb Blackadar

With John Bonham and Aerosmith's Joey Kramer as primary influences, Deb Blackadar was just the kind of high energy, high drama, power drummer that Rick Carroll was looking for to give Wicked Blue the kick it needed. With a resume that included Boston alternative bands; Vision Thing, Inside Pocket, and Junk as well as acoustic artists; Les Sampou, Steve Hurl, Colleen Sexton, and Mary Gauthier, she also had the kind of broad range stage and studio experience that was needed.

Joining the act in December 1997, Deb Blackadar quickly established herself as the rock-solid power base that Wicked Blue was designed to have. As Rick puts it, "It almost seems as though my original vision of this act had the predetermined necessity of the exact playing that Deb is to really make it happen. Although we didn't yet know her, the act was tailor-made to require exactly what she has to offer."

And what Deb Blackadar has to offer is explosive, dramatic power and flashed balanced with the stability and maturity of a well traveled, seasoned professional. She brings definite balance and muscularity to the rhythm section and helps make Rick Carroll & Wicked Blue one of New England's most powerful modern blues acts.
